Easy Homemade Potato Wedges


Potato wedges originated in Washington and it’s a popular appetizer in many parts of the country. This dish is very simple and delicious and it’s the perfect snack for movies, picnics, and drinking sessions.

Ingredients:

  • 4 peeled potatoes
  • 1tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 cup of water

Procedure:

  1. Cut the potatoes into wedges and preheat a large pot until it reaches the boiling point. Once it reaches the boiling point add the wedges and cook for about 10-15 minutes. Add any seasoning of your choice. Once done, set it aside and let it cool down.
  2. In a large bowl mix the oregano, sesame seeds, cornflour. 
  3. Sprinkle some chili peppers, after frying them for extra spice and flavor. 
  4. Preheat a large pan with 1-inch oil and once the oil is ready. Add the potato wedges and gradually fry it until golden brown. Once done, let it cool in a wire rack. Serve it with 2 kinds of dip sauce you desire.
